ℹ️ Winter flood preparation — grit bins and sandbags
Ahead of winter the Council reviews the parish flood plan and checks the three grit bins. Residents in the low-lying part of the parish can request sandbags through Maidstone Borough Council. Live flood warnings for this area are shown at the top of this page automatically, direct from the Environment Agency.
The Parish Council is the smallest tier of local government. Most services — roads, schools, planning decisions, bins, social care — belong to the borough or the county. These are the people who represent you at those levels.
