ℹ️ Winter flood preparation — grit bins and sandbags
Ahead of winter the Council reviews the parish flood plan and checks the three grit bins. Residents in the low-lying part of the parish can request sandbags through Maidstone Borough Council. Live flood warnings for this area are shown at the top of this page automatically, direct from the Environment Agency.
Nettlestead has an active Neighbourhood Watch scheme covering the whole parish. The scheme circulates alerts from Kent Police about incidents and crime prevention, and coordinates with neighbouring parishes.
