ℹ️ Winter flood preparation — grit bins and sandbags

Ahead of winter the Council reviews the parish flood plan and checks the three grit bins. Residents in the low-lying part of the parish can request sandbags through Maidstone Borough Council. Live flood warnings for this area are shown at the top of this page automatically, direct from the Environment Agency.

Report an issue

This is the page that saves everyone time. Most things people report to a parish council are not the parish council's to fix — these links go straight to the body that can.

What the Parish Council does handle

Parish-owned assets: the recreation ground and its equipment, parish benches and noticeboards, the village hall grant, footpath clearance on parish land, grit bins, and the parish's formal view on planning applications. If it is one of those, contact the Clerk.
