ℹ️ Winter flood preparation — grit bins and sandbags
Ahead of winter the Council reviews the parish flood plan and checks the three grit bins. Residents in the low-lying part of the parish can request sandbags through Maidstone Borough Council. Live flood warnings for this area are shown at the top of this page automatically, direct from the Environment Agency.
Nettlestead Neighbours is the community group for parish residents. It organises social events through the year, runs the village produce show, and publishes a quarterly newsletter delivered to every household.
The group is independent of the Parish Council and welcomes new members and new ideas.
