ℹ️ Winter flood preparation — grit bins and sandbags

Ahead of winter the Council reviews the parish flood plan and checks the three grit bins. Residents in the low-lying part of the parish can request sandbags through Maidstone Borough Council. Live flood warnings for this area are shown at the top of this page automatically, direct from the Environment Agency.

⛪ St Mary the Virgin

The parish church dates from the thirteenth century, though the site is older. It is best known for its unusually tall fifteenth-century windows, which fill the nave with light and are among the finest of their kind in Kent.

The church is open daily and services are held each Sunday. The churchyard is maintained by volunteers with support from the Parish Council.
